The 808 - Sunday Brunch

This Sunday's brunch may have been rainy and cold but The 808's Sunday brunch is warm, bright, and tropical! Since brunch is best enjoyed with girlfriends, Karla with a K (from One Mic Entertainment!) and I escaped to a tropical paradise with $15 bottles of wine with a mimosa juice bar!
We are always looking for a good brunch spot that has vegan options for me- which is so hard to do! All of the good vegan places only have vegan food and the regular restaurants will have Avocado Toast or Salad with Balsamic. I always look ahead at menus before going anywhere and make sure they have something I want to eat.
Of course we started with a bottle of champagne and hit the Mimosa bar for juice! I went for classic OJ at first, then switched to the highly recommended Pog juice- a Hawaiian favorite made with passion fruit juice, orange juice, and guava nectar. When it came time to order, I really didn't know what I wanted- but nothing on the menu sounded just right.
After speaking with the server about their vegan options, they ended up making me a Vegan ch'kn, avocado, and pineapple salsa sandwich on vegan-friendly bread! It was absolutely amazing- the ch'kn was so flavorful and the salsa was giving island vibes 100%!
We found out they host all kinds of fun events- like Burger Thursdays where you can get a $2 burger (or $4 Impossible burger)! Have you ever been to The 808?
