Memorial Day Weekend Comedy Jam - One Mic Entertainment LLC for Children's Cancer Research

Laughter is the best form of medicine. With the stress and depression the world has seen over the past few years, I highly recommend everyone get up and go see a comedy show. I have attended quite a few One Mic Entertainment LLC comedy shows over this past year living in Orlando, but this was by far my favorite, and for an amazing cause! Portions of the proceeds went to support Children's Cancer Research Fund.
Not only was I picked on by one of the comedians, but I literally had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. I showed up early to see my friend Karla, get some photos of the venue, and of course grab a pre-show drink. They had a full bar with liquor, wine, and beer! I'm not usually a big fan of gold tequila, but they made me a delicious pineapple Jose Cuervo margarita to get the party started!
Karla began with an introduction and thanked us for coming out tonight before she introduced our host for the night, Shawn Harvey. He was so funny!!! I totally see why he has his own podcast- "The Shawn Harvey Wake Up Show."
The first comedian up was King Quelz! He may have been the youngest comedian this show, but he had some great jokes. You may have seen him at The Improv or Bonkerz Comedy Club.
Next came Mini- and let me tell you his sense of humor was anything but mini. You may have seen him on The Michael Colyar Show or CW18 Comedy.
And then there was Sean Finnerty. Sean's been featured on Jimmy Fallon's Show, Comedy Central, Amazon Prime, and more! I loved his thick Irish accent and how he had no problem making jokes about himself.
Between each featured comedian our gracious host would come and make jokes and introduce the next person. One of the highlights of the night was when they hosted a 'White guy dance off'- these guys were really great sports!
And then there's the comedian who called me Brittney Spears, A.G. White! As seen on Martin Lawrence's 1st Amendment, HBO Snaps & Bad Boys of Comedy, BET Comic View, and more.
Our final comedian was the headliner of the night, Rob Stapleton. Rob's been making a lot of people laugh from NY Kings of Comedy, Comedy Central, Law and Order, and more.
I hung around after to chat with everyone and congratulate the hilarious comedians on their amazing show. Although they were all hilarious in their own way, my favorite was King Quelz, a local comedian out of Jacksonville, FL. His whole family came out to support, and it was so great to get to meet them and see the comedians off stage!
Huge shoutout to Karla with a K - she's the marketing lead and promoter for One Mic Entertainment. She has attended quite a few Girls Nights Out and even given away event tickets at some of our events.
