Universal's Mardi Gras International Flavors of Carnaval through April 16th!

Mardi Gras isn't just a day, it is a whole season! Join us over at The Universal Orlando Resort for Mardi Gras celebrations continuing through March and April!
What's so special about Mardi Gras? From special food and drink offerings to weekend concerts, there is so much to celebrate at Universal Studios! We got to see Goo Goo Dolls, Maren Morris, 3 Doors Down, and even Sean Paul! Although the concert series has come to a close, the parades and foods live on!
Do they have a Mardi Gras Parade? Every single night, they surely do!! They even offer dinner packages that include a ride on a float at night. Upon availability they will accept walk ups for the floats, too.
Do I have to dress up? Of course not! Although I'm a huge fan of themed dressing myself, there are a TON of people that wear totally normal clothes... but most of them have at least one beaded necklace leaving the park :-)
What kind of food and drink offerings do they have? They definitely have a higher influence of New Orleans southern style cooking, but they have miniature booths all over the park! I was highly impressed with Universal's amount of vegan options this year, as well as gluten-free and nut-free options.
The plant based churros from Mexico are my absolute favorite- served with melted chocolate sauce! Yes, I have had them all tree times pictured- believe me, they're good.
I also love Bubur Ketan Hiram- a delicious purple sticky rice pudding with coconut milk! Of course most adult beverages are vegan (hold the creams!) so I usually go with a margarita. Universal is offering over 20 different food booths with cultures from around the world! If you haven't been yet, you can still visit through April 16th! Have you been to Universal's Mardi Gras celebration this year?
