Last Minute 4th of July Fireworks in Orlando

Happy birthday, America! Looking for somewhere close by to watch some fireworks tonight to celebrate? Of course there are the most popular options- like Orlando's greatest theme parks- but there are also some great free options that would be fun for the whole family.

  1. Magic Kingdom and EPCOT at Walt Disney World. 9PM. Although you need a park ticket and park pass reservation to get into the parks, currently Animal Kingdom is available! So (1) you could get a park hopper and start at AK and bounce to another park after 2PM or (2) go for drinks/dinner at a close by Disney resort - like Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - where they stream the music and you can view the fireworks over the lagoon.

  2. Universal Studios. They're putting on a special fireworks performance at 9PM. According to their website, the best viewing spots are (1) The Universal Plaza in the Upper Lot or (2) near TRANSFORMERS: The 3D Ride in the Lower Lot.

  3. Seaworld. 9PM following their nightly fireworks, they'll have a special holiday show at the Large Central Lake with great viewing from the Orca Encounter Pathway, The Waterfront, and Bayside Stadium. You can also purchase special viewing packages like the SkyTower Fireworks Viewing with champagne and snacks.

Hey, if theme parks aren't your jam- there are a ton of local firework viewing opportunities, too! Seeing that we're celebrating the birthday of our beloved country, it comes as no surprise that a lot of these celebrations will last all day long. Most of the local shows are free, too!

  1. Lake Eola. With a celebration starting at 4PM - they'll have family friendly entertainment and food/drinks with a firework show beginning at 9:15PM.

  2. Kissimmee Lakefront Park. Fourth of July festival begins at 5PM - a family friendly event with entertainment food and drinks, ending with a fireworks show at 9PM.

  3. Lake Ivanhoe. Fireworks show beginning at 9:15PM.

  4. Old Town. Join the all-day family-friendly celebration with Fun Spot's firework show beginning at 9PM.

  5. Winter Park. Festivities beginning at 5:30 PM at the Rendezvous Event Center, they have food, drinks, music, and entertainment for the entire family! Wrapping up with a firework show (or light show in case of weather) at 9PM.

From eating hotdogs and hamburgers, 'cheers-ing' to some Bud Lights, or even enjoying a fireworks show with a loved one; there are so many ways to celebrate! What are your plans to celebrate today?
