Fashion Show for Victoria's Voice - Dillard's Florida Mall

The only thing I love more than a fashion show is a fashion show for a good cause! Victoria's Voice Foundation helps youth say "No To Drugs" to help decrease the amount of youth and young adult deaths from overdosing.

I was so grateful to attend the local fashion show that helped raise money for Victoria's Voice at Dillard's Florida Mall this past weekend! Brion Price was the event photographer! Brion Price has been a local photographer for over 30 years and loves helping local businesses and charities in the Orlando and Central Florida area. He had covered lots of our Girls Night Out Events over the past year as well.

Victoria’s Voice Foundation works to promote Drug Policy Change, Naloxone Access, Drug Education & Media, and Victory Clubs - all to help young people realize the detrimental effects drug use can have. The founders, David and Jackie Siegel lost their daughter Victoria to a drug overdose in 2018. Since then, they have been helping other young adults throughout the country get High on Life ! You may have seen Jackie as “The Queen of Versailles

They had a raffle with many prizes like Diff Sunglasses, Water Bottle by Kate Spade, Idole by Lancome – and tickets were 1 for $10 or 3 for $25. Tables dressed with black coverings were lined down the runway to the backdrop for the event. Off to the side, there was a drink table with wines and iced tea and a few food tables with salad, rolls, pasta salad, and tuna. Brion Price, the event photographer, was busy taking each Guest’s photo in front of the pink Victoria’s Voice Instagram-worthy backdrop.

We all sat down as the show began with an introduction from the Assistant Manager at Dillard’s. She introduced our host for the evening, Allison Walker from News 13. Plus, the entire event was filmed by One Orlando Production.

Then it was time for the show! Three of the models are former Miss Florida Pageant winners and one was the current Miss Florida. Orlando's very own Dr. Jose Ruiz was featured, as well as two model siblings strutted up and down the runway.

Each of the outfits was something for sale in the store- and 10% of the sales that day were donated to Victoria’s Voice! After the show ended, Renee Ruiz (who organized the entire event) gave a special thanks and invited Savannah Boan from Orlando's Gatorland to help draw the winning raffle ticket before letting us lose to shop and help raise money for Victoria's Voice.

You can check out their website, find ways to support, and even donate on their website here. David and Jackie even published a book, ‘our daughter’s dying wish to share her diary and save lives from drugs.'
